About the author
Erin Mariah Murphy is the BiblioKid Author of Halfway Home. As an international airline pilot, a dog mom, and an affiliate with animal-rescue flight services, literary seeds were planted. she has been flying since 1991. Her Volunteerism expanded to ground support for air rescues after she adopted, Zeke in 2018. Advocating energized her writing about both.

This is who I came to know via pet rescue online community and who I flew with on a rescue mission.
This team captured and impressed me as an aviatrix, a pet advocate, supporter because they ensure ALL supporters are held at the same value, the highest value ~ best of all, they truly mean it.
My first volunteer day for Wings of Rescue is what inspired me to change the plot of my drafted HALFWAY HOME because now aware of the magnitude of air rescue, I was called to share it.
This is the local SPCA West Chester, Pa branch that I volunteer with, adopted Zeke from, and became introduced to air rescue services starting with Wings of Rescue. They coordinate ground logistics to make flights possible. Their air rescue program is called Second Chance Program.
